Residence Manager

Arc Herkimer has openings for Residence Managers in our Supports & Services Program.  The Residence Manager position is responsible for the day to day operations of a residential home for adult individuals with developmental disabilities. The Residence Manager ensures that quality direct care and support is given to residents and ensures efficient operation of shifts. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

This working supervisor position will assume responsibility for the operation of the residence including scheduling staff coverage, meal preparation, grocery shopping, recreation, assistance with activities of daily living, transportation, consumer counseling and/or behavioral interventions, and documentation in consumer records. They will have direct care duties as well as role modeling and training for staff and consumers.
The RM promotes positive self-esteem of residents in a loving home atmosphere through consistently positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unconditional respect of residents' rights.

High school diploma and 2 years of related experience OR Associate's and related experience. Experience with persons with disabilities and supervisory experience preferred. Must have accessible telephone number and Agency approvable driver's license. This is a full-time position, generally afternoon/evening hours with some weekend hours required.  Candidate must be able to make independent decisions, multi-task, complete required paperwork and be computer literate.
