Arc Herkimer, 350 S. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY

Presented by
Kristine O’Brien, SUPAC Training Specialist

The mission of the New York State Education Department (NYSED), Office of Special Education is to ensure that students with disabilities have opportunities to benefit from high-quality instruction, to reach the same standards as all students, and to leave school prepared to transition to post-school learning, living, and working successfully. Through this process, there are essential and fundamental procedural rights and protections afforded by Federal and State law both to parents and students with disabilities.

This SUPAC training will walk participants through the seven core principles to help them develop a better understanding of each.
