Sensory Processing Disorder: A Big Piece of the Autism Puzzle

Herkimer College - Hummel Amphitheater

Monday, December 9, 2019 (9:00am - 5:00pm)

Arc Herkimer invites individuals, families, caregivers, educators, students, and professionals to join us for a FREE workshop called "Sensory Processing Disorder: A Big Piece of the Autism Puzzle" on Monday, December 9th in the Hummel Amphitheater at Herkimer College.

Our presenter, Carol Stock Kranowitz, was a music, movement, and drama teacher for 25 years. She observed many out-of-sync preschoolers along the way. To help them become more competent in their work and play, she began to study sensory integration theory. She learned to help identify her students’ needs and steer them into early intervention. She will explain how sensory issues play out & provide fun and functional techniques for addressing them at home and school. She is best known for her book, The Out-of-Sync Child, which has sold over 1 million copies.

The workshop runs from 9am to 5pm but the doors open at 8:30am! Refreshment breaks will be provided, lunch is on your own.

Please Pre-Register by calling 315-574-7000 or online at
